Reading it in your own language
SpicyChat launched multilingual mode in April 2026 with twelve languages, and built it natively rather than as a translation layer, so the interaction responds in the selected language instead of auto-translating English. That is the right way to solve it and worth crediting. SweetBun applies the same principle to 70, and splits the control in two: an Interface Language setting for the product, and an AI Response Language setting that follows the companion into every mode she has — voice calls, roleplay, group chats, webcam, and the prompts behind photos and video. Outside their twelve, the question stops being which product is better and becomes which one exists for you at all.
The media suite
SpicyChat writes. It does that very well, and on some bots it will generate an image, but there is no voice, no video and no camera. Everything on our side attaches to the same character: 2 tokens buys a photo, 2 tokens buys a second of video, 3 tokens a minute puts her on the phone, and 7 tokens a minute puts her on a live avatar call that answers you as you speak. A roleplay scene or a group chat opens for a single token. Sweet Movies, Play Mode and Sweet Casino need no extra purchase. Reading a scene is cheap and excellent there. Hearing one is not something the product does. Nor is watching one: Sweet Movies is a library of finished stories, and Movie Maker builds new ones out of your own generations.
Memory and continuity
SpicyChat’s memory is partial and varies by the model you select, with lorebooks available on paid tiers to compensate. That is a reasonable design for a product built around sampling a huge library of bots rather than staying with one character. SweetBun keeps one continuous memory per companion, included on every paid plan and identical across text, voice, roleplay, group chat and webcam. There is no lorebook to maintain, because the memory is the product rather than a workaround for its absence. The catalogue is smaller and written rather than crowdsourced — a hundred-plus professionally written companions with new ones added every week — against a library where quality is yours to sift for.
